Site_Specific is a non-for-profit group that produces Land Art events in South Africa. The aim is to raise awareness about the site we "activate" by producing a Land Art happening there - we invite local and international artists to participate in each event. The events look at the flora and fauna of the site, host education workshops around it, and involve the local community in the process.
Plettenberg Bay Site_Specific Event
Between 22 & 29 May 2011, Site_Specific will be presenting a multifaceted international event involving landart, workshops, local environmental and community initiatives, lunchbox theatre, and long term proposals for landart projects in the region to encourage local employment and tourist attraction.
Key Site_Specific members include Strijdom van der Merwe, Anni Snyman, Margaret O Connor and Heather Greig.
